Best Original Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe


This recipe by Nick Malgieri is easy, delicious and original. Far better that store-bought cookies and a fun plan for kids on vacation. You can make them with or without walnuts, you will run out of them before they get to room temperature. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did, with a glass of warm milk and a pair of slippers.

WHAT YOU NEED: (40 cookies)

A- Paciencia / Patience
B- 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
C- 1  tsp baking soda
D- 1 tsp salt
E- 226 grs butter at room temperature
F- 3/4 cups of regular white sugar
G- 3/4 cups of brown or mascovado sugar
H- 1 tsp vanilla extract
I- 2 eggs
J- 2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)
K- 340 grs bittersweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate


HOW TO DO IT:

1: Preheat oven at 190 degrees Celsius.

2: Chop nuts and chocolate bar.



3:  Mix the butter with the sugar and vanilla extract until well blended.


4: Mix dry ingredients in a medium bowl.


5: Add the eggs, one at a time and mix until well incorporated.


6: Add dry ingredients and mix.


7: Add chocolate chips and walnuts.


8: Place spoon size balls on baking sheet covered with parchment paper (dough previously chilled).


9: Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until they are golden brown. They might look soft, but wait until they get to room temperature. Enjoy.
